            Adaptive Transmission Control for MPEG-4 Video Streaming over Wireless Networks

 

          Effective Bandwidth Based Scheduling for Streaming Media

 


Biography

Sang H. Kang received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) , in 1990, 1992, and 1997, respectively, all in electrical engineering. In 1997, he joined the faculty of the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Seoul, Korea, where he is currently Assistant Professor. From 2001 to 2002, he was Visiting Research Engineer in the Dept. of EECS, UC Berkeley. His research interests include traffic engineering in high-speed networks, performance and reliability of communication systems, wireless multimedia, and applications of neural networks. Dr. Kang is a member of IEEE.
